Re: something happened overnight
did you do it this way
c/p grasshopper
1 Make sure VS is turned off by back switch
2 Connect a NULL MODEM cable between the ViewSat and your PC.
3 Open "Loader2
4 Click "Open Files"
4 Browse to directory holding “ViewsatUSA_.PGM” file , Click on "ViewsatUSA_.pgm files ", Click "OPEN"
6 Click PC--> STB on your computer screen; then Power “ON” your ViewSat by ON/OFF switch . You should see the File loading properly.

Re: something happened overnight
Sounds to me that if you simply reboot your computer, Loader2 will work like normal again. I have seen this issue here from time to time.
Good Luck !!

I have the same exact problem with my VS Plat. I have tried several options and none seems to work.

Re: something happened overnight
Make sure the driver for your null cable is installed & up-to-date (I use a serial to USB cabe w/ NULL adapter on it): Click on Contr Panel, then System, Device Mgr, Hardware, scroll down to Ports..It should have recognized the cable, & assigned a number to it. Now, return to the Loader & click on 'Tool', then 'Configuration', then go to 'COM port' field enter the one from Device Mgr., it should be on Manual, then close it & try loading. Happy Loading!
