well i took the plunge today and i bought a new nfusion i am officially signing off viewsat i will be unplugging and removing it from my set up. i guess im tired of all the fake bin dates and junk. Anyway my viewsat extreme was an awsome reciever i more than got my moneys worth and i am really sad that they are done (my opinion)
Well for those still holding out i tip my hat to you but its football season and i gotto see them games even if it's on regionallocal channels.

Look at it this way, if a fix does come out it will be temporary, as the ecm's start, and you'll have your IKS as back up.

Despite the added cost, you'll realize sooner than later, that you have made a good choice moving forward. Nothing against VS, they really have missed the boat on IKS ... and in time, if they ever do offer it - it simply won't matter. They will be considered an also ran.

I agree Zeke. First ECM and might be down for 2-7 days. My feelings on this are the IKS receivers will receive updates faster and don't have to load a bin but you probably can sometime down the road. Certain receivers if they still will work, will only work with a bin. All you can do is sit back and watch and wait.

even if an N3 file was out tomorrow don't think that standalone files would be answer for the next 4 years or so.. There would be down times and I would suspect periods of no service.. So if you think about it the Nfusion is a good choice and IMO the best working IKS box for NA

Good Luck buddy, wait 2 more years maybe VS will release something by then...

rest all, just buy any working IKS, don't listen to this BS, many here are agents of Viewsat & they don't want you to move, even if that mean no FIX in near future or even next 2 yrs for VS FTAs.

Think it this way many moved to IKS in 1st week of N3, many others in a month, slow rest of them will move to IKS, so sooner or later you will need IKS or just learn to use rabbit ears from free channels if you cannot use 36" dish.
