Re: autorolling viewsat
What are your settings? If they are correct..then give it a hard reboot via rear switch and give it a few minute to roll the keys.... usually less than 5 minutes

Re: autorolling viewsat
Make sure that after loading the new bin...let the receiver turn off and on by itself...as soon as you see the on letters on your receiver, do a hard reset...in other words turn your receiver off from the basc switch, then turn it back on...let autoroll for a couple of minutes and you are set...
By the way, the release note tells you to do that...please make sure that you always read the release note...Like in this new bin there are special instructions there...
Just my two cents...

Re: autorolling viewsat
Also remember to load the latest factory bin before loading this new fix. If not your box will do all kind of strange things.
Please post your results.

Re: autorolling viewsat
In my years of experience, all I have ever had to do is load the latest fixbin and turn back on receiver and I have never had a problem.
Do you have autoroll turned on? I would just go in and add the keys manually myself just so I could watch tv for now and see what happens the next key change.

Yeah that's what I usually do to but it didn't work like that this time. Not quite sure why.

First, disregard everything in the above post. I've never needed to load a factory bin before loading a fixbin. Also, I just loaded the latest fixbin to my receiver and it's running flawlessly right now and it's NOT "doing all kind of strange things".
You need two things to watch tv. The latest fixbin and the newest set of keys. Loading your box with the latest fix shouldn't be a problem so afterwards you must manually enter the latest keys. Go to dss-keys.com and get them and enter them into your receiver.

Re: autorolling viewsat
Did that and still no picture. I even tried turning autoroll off and get a no audio video. I'm not sure what to do. Should I start right from scratch and reload all the programing files? Change everything back to factory and start again? Please help.

Re: autorolling viewsat
I loaded the latest bin on one of mine without flashing it first, and I can't download the guide (EPG). The other one, I flashed it first, then loaded the latest bin and had a guide. But both worked very well, no A/R, no freezing. Didn't have to load keys or anything.

Re: autorolling viewsat
I'm having same problem with auto roll. I do have some ppv's and some premium the rest auto roll. If I turn auto roll off it shows no video and audio. I think xtreme's new bin has problems.

Re: autorolling viewsat
I am testing the latest BIN 179 on my VS, I have everything working fine all channels, except for some freezing have to change channels and them go back for A/R to work. Anyone having this problem?, I see they have a fix for the Sonicview 4000(BIN180) which I have and loaded & is working fine.

Re: autorolling viewsat
Confirmed that the new Viewsat BIN 12-03-2007 has issues with International channels. If you are getting the "Autoroll Processing .... " with all the International channels on either 118 bird or 121 bird, then I think it is a small problem with the new 12-03-2007 file.
Every other channels work fine on the 110 and 119 birds. Most people watch English channels only on these 2 birds, so they all think everything is working.
But in reality, as of right now, I am getting the the "Autoroll Processing .... " problem with all the International channels on both the 118 bird and the 121 bird. Signal/Quality is high as nothing has been changed.
So, basically no International channels for the Viewsat box at this time. They work fine with the Sonicview's.
Hope other viewers of International channels can confirm this same problem?

Re: autorolling viewsat
I only have a couple B-- channels, 2229 and one other I can't remember. I tried to load the factory bin, then the new one again and still autorolling. Is there another bin coming out to solve this or am I stuck for a while. Thanks to anyone who responds.
