Help needed for a stupid person - ABA DSS

As I have no knowledge of what DN or BEV are, I really need help. I have an Xtreme unit and have been using the files posted here. Can I use the new one that supports DN and not BEV? Sorry for being a pest. (a stupid one at that)

Believe me you are not stupid - I AM. I am also looking to learn how this works. I have a ultra viewsat and it is down more than it works - know to top it off my grandaughter got the remote and started pressing god only knows and know my TV says "NO CHANNELS" I believe she has cleared my entire box memory. What do I do know????? Any one can help???

Yes, i think you can use this new fix for DN(dish network). i think but i am not really sure that BEV is used in canada

Don't worry about it, we all start the same way.
DN = D!$H Ntwork
B3V = Bell 3xpre$$ VU (Canadian)
These are the two most popular tv providers used. Most of the times the fixes are released for both providers, but there are other times that a released fix will only work on one provider. You can always install the fix and enjoy the programs for either provider until a new fix is released.

Personally, I'd wait for a better fix, but I think that as long as you do not use a BEV stations it won't freeze.

Keynotetammy; Try a factory reset, then load newest bin. Then do a sat scan for all sats.

Yes, it seems she has clear your channel list.
Don't worry, just go to MENU>ANTENNA SETUP>AUTO SCAN
You'll get all the channels back.

hey you guys, did you try turning off from the back of your unit wait 5 mins. the back on? also in the forums at the bottom of the page you really need to scoll down to your reciver name...click on it and you wiill get more help there. good luck

It is recomended on some files to do a Hard Boot (power off the receiver with the rear switch) This will reset the box and arrange the new codes.

Hi keynote , It wasn't long ago for me, that I felt the way you do . The best thing to do though, is to search and read every thing about your receiver . You will find a little box,top left,click the arrow ,find your receiver,then hit go.Scrowle down till you find your model. Stay in this general area & learn . The Sticky's are information threads . Write down your settings once you have everything running right and keep them for future reference .You must have used your loader the first time you set up,Yes do that again with the new bin .Chances are the new bin will only work for a day or so and we'll all be watch dvd's again. Good Luck have a glass of wine , relax and read.

You dont need to wait 5 minutes. switch off - switch on at the back. There's your hard reboot.

No, these are the keys which you CAN manually input but dont have to when autoroll is working properly.
A bin as a file that ends in .bin which you flash on to your machine.
