vsx dead or locked

how do Iknow if my vsx is dead 0r locked, its been two weeks that I was trying to repair it but no luck, I factory deafault then reload factory bin then newest bin the set sats and channels, its still AR for 1 hr and still does not work, both DN and BEV, is it useless or curable should I buy a new one already or can somebody help me.
Guys or Gals need real help here ok

There is probably some minor problem with your settings.
Please post your sat settings and your signal and quality settings. More info the better, to trouble shoot your problem.

what are the settings on one bird you are trying to view ,what sig do you have and what quality we will try and help

Post your setting first, if you Box on and see information in your tv screen then the Box is NOT Dead,but look first here:

You both should go into the Forum and down to Viewsat Extreme and do some reading in the Help section, there has been a lot of those cases lately and I'm sure that you will see something of interest.
