all the channels that have the vertical polarity on my receiver its showing 0 signal. whats the problem?

Are you trying to run two stbs wit one line?

i have 2 receivers connected to 1 dish. is that what u mean?

This problem happens a lot when connecting 2 receivers from 1 dish.One receiver will work ok and the other won't on some channel.

I have the same problem like your's.I still couldn't figure it out how to fix it.The only way to watch it,is to turn your working receiver on a channel which the other one is not getting the signal or quality.For example if Discovery channel is not getting any signal then try putting the other receiver on the same channel.I might work because mine works the same way.

i have the fortec 2500 upstairs and all the channels r down. i guess i could unplug it since i dont use it anymore. would that work?

Give it a try but I don't think so it's gonna work.It's better to unhook the cable from the dish.

You can also try to leave your fortec 2500 (ON) on a channel which the other one is not getting the signal.But don't disconnect the cable.It doesn't matter if your TV is OFF or watching TV but the box should be ON on that channel.Try Try Try
