searching signal
here is my problem: I have loaded the latest bin for my vs-extreme,on some local channels I am getting a searching signal screen? I checked my quality and signal strenght both at 75%. What is happening? I did a hard re-boot and still nothing? I have it on auto-roll, some channels that don't work are 2211,2212,2553..
can someone help me as what to do?

Re: searching signal
as far sa I know b3v is not working. you can try and load the keys manually, that might help.
if you have DN it is up on all channels.

Re: searching signal
So does everyone think it's my dish/lnb that's causing the problems? I have another question then:
Can I use any type of lnb to replace the one I have now? I am using the original system (dish, lnb) which I bought from major service provider.
Help much appreciated!

Re: searching signal
Your LNBs seem to be ok since you are getting both S and Q strenght.
Try reloading the BIN file and auto scan again.

ok so when I go to antenna set up I see S & Q strenght at 76 % each, you are saying that my lnb is good? I am getting most of the channels but 2211 2212 2553 to name a few not working. This is what I have done so far:
a-hard re-boot
b-factory default, reset antenna settings back, channel scan.
so you are saying to just re-load the current file DBPSW-080108X-1 and it will work?

Re: searching signal
Make sure your keys are up to date:
Get a copy of VSKey2.6
Load it on your PC
Open it
Grab Keys
Write Key/Make Key
Copy 01-08-2008_hex.key to USB stick
Make sure Auto roll is OFF
Upload to your reciever
Reboot
You'll be good to go.

Re: searching signal
If you Strength is good (above 65) and your Quality is 0, then your Dish is not aimed correctly or if you have multiple LNB's your Deq switch may not be hooked up correctly.

Re: searching signal
what is your sig/quality when you go to antenna setup?
You should try to max out your quality there first.
I'd suspect the channels are flaky anyway, and not the setup.... but Im no expert.
