Viewsat 2000 Extreme NoCH
I have a 2000 Extreme Viewsat receiver. One day I was watching TV and all of a sudden NOCH showed up on the front of the Receiver screen. It stopped everything from working. The remote does not move the NOCH. If you try manually to move the NOCH sign it does not move.
Need some help. So far I have installed the latest factory bin, then the latest fix but NOCH still remains. What else can I do to have this receiver working?

Usually when you get a no chan message it is because for some reason you lost everything. You have to rescan you birds to get your channals back.

Re: Viewsat 2000 Extreme NoCH
1) Factory Flash the unit i.e., put in the Factory .bin
2) Set up your preferances
3) Do a BLIND SCAN
4) Upload latest .bin file
5) Wait for unit to reboot etc ...
6) Power OFF via Rear Switch
7) Turn back ON
Then you should be good.

Re: Viewsat 2000 Extreme NoCH
Thanks to all who offered assistance, but that does not help. NOCH remains on the receiver and the receiver does not respond to the remote. I believe if I could get the NOCH removed then I think my remote would work.
Assistance is still needed.

Re: Viewsat 2000 Extreme NoCH
1) Detach the cable that comes from the LNB's from the input on your receiver.
2) Then reboot the unit with the cable off.
3) Then power off with the rear switch
4) Then turn back on
I think maybe the voltage from the LNB's is holding something open electrically. If it opens up (turns on fine without the NOCH, then shut off and reconnect the input cable to the Receiver, if it returns, to the NOCH state, then its your Disq Switch or a bad connector on one of the lines that's shorting out.

Re: Viewsat 2000 Extreme NoCH
It seems to me that persons seem not to understand that you only plug the receiver into an electrical outlet and on comes NOCH. That NOCH remains there and does not respond to any thing you press on the remote. If you could get NOCH removed then all the other things about factory bin, latest fix etc. would come into play.
How to remove NOCH that's my challenge. HELP!!!!!!!!!!!
