Also many problems are with the Viewsat Clone Receivers.
Many people are just finding out when loading 080404 bins that they in fact have Viewsat Clones and not Genuine Viewsats.
Genuine Viewsats have white colored Power Supply boards.
Viewsat Clones have brown or beige colored Power Supply boards.
Many of the Viewsat clones have a wire grounding out 1 of the pins on a component on the main board.
If you have one of these units you need to disconnect the ground temporarily----Upgrade with latest
BIN file 080410 ----Then reconnect the ground again when upgrade is done.
Most people who find they have this clone receiver connect an inline switch to the ground wire and mount the switch on the back of the receiver so they need only flick the switch to load files---then turn switch on again to ground out the component.
Viewsat very cleverly put a killer code in this latest
BIN to kill all of these latest clone work around mods.
I suggest anyone with a recently acquired Viewsat receiver open it up and check the color of their Power Supply board and have a look for this wire modification.
Genuine Viewsat has White Power Supply Board and No wire grounding out the component on the Main Board.
Clone Viewsat has beige or brown Power Supply Board with a wire on the main board grounding out the component..
