That is the message I get when i double click on loader2. The only change I have made to the computer since I last used it about 5 months ago is I have added a wireless router nothing else is different. Any idea what it mighr be would be appreciated

Re: com port open failed
make sure your stb is plugged in when you start loader 2. if it still does it delete loader 2 and download it again.

Re: com port open failed
when it open x out the comport error then hit tool configuration make sure it is on com1 if it is then right click on my computer go down to properties then left click then hardware devices the scroll down to ports hit the plus
then find communication prt and see what com it is on incase it switched some how .. if it is different then remember what com port it is on and then open up loader 2 tool configuration then adjust to match ..

Re: com port open failed
The error is during the zmodem part of loading. I went in and right clicked on my computer and everything looks ok it is on com1. I deleted the loader 2 and reloaded it still error and when I click off it and go to load(zmodem) it says error initilizing
