difference between a machine bought from a retailer and one bought from a private ind

Hi!

I was wondering if there was difference between a brand name(viewsat ) machine bought from a retailer and one bought from a private individual. Are the machines identical in any way or is there something done to the machines to allow viewing all of bev's channels or is that done by the bin files we load into the viewsat.

individuals do sell stuff they purchased from retailers, if thats the case they are the same .
if you buy a clone that is similar to a brand name then that is its almost identical but it is not.the way to tell is by seeing a copyrighted logo for a brand name on that receiver. always make sure when you purchase something you know exactly what it is and make sure its not a CLONE if you really want the real thing.

Its better to buy from an autorized seller than to risk buying from an individual, not only with fta boxes but with anything u buy. You know what u are getting instead of taking an individual word for it plus most offer plus if something is wrong with the equipment then its usually replaced. As for the bev channels u can load (bins) third party software to the recievers to obtain bevs signal. There is also true fta channels to view and u can read more about it in the forums here if u like.

You can ask 3 pertinent questions.
1. In which direction is the rear power switch Horizontally or Vertically ?

2. What shape are the air holes on the bottom ?

3. What color is the remotes.


A. Conunterfeit VS have a Horizontally mounted on/off power switch
B. Genuine VS have a vertically mounted power switch.

Bottom air Holes.

A. Conunterfrit Unit have elongated air slots
B. Genuine VS have many circular air slots.

Vs remotes are black in color, and one more thing Genuine VS have a card reader.

Counterfeit no card reader.

There are seperate bins for bev signals? I thought they were carried on echostars satellites and the bins were kinda universal. Of course I'm new to this.
