well i am new to this. I bought viewsat xtreme vs2000. i downloaded the new bin file for it and i put it in, and i set up the antina settings. i got lots of channels listing. but the problem is i can't wach any of them. someone please help me. tell me how i can fix it please. sorry if this is the wrong place to post this. i am new

need more details on how your setup was done.. First you want to make sure you downloaded the rigth bin and you make sure that it actually was the right bin file in the firmware version. Second what is the sat that your trying to hit and do you have quality on it not just signal....

Yes...make sure you have the right bin. Since you are able to see the list of channels, I assume you are pointing at the right sat. Next you want to make sure you are using the bin with autoroll. Go to a known good channel like CNN and then let it sit on that channel for a few minutes. Autoroll needs to find the right keys.

i had the same results, my problem was shutting off the loader before the receiver was finished its input....even after the loader says " download complete" ...its not...wait for the receiver screen to flash -end - 000 finally no cha or a # such as 456....then exit the loader..... carry on with set up....hope this helps...

If u are on the right sats and have quality and the keys have rolled and still no picture. You need to scan satellites with red f1 button. Do u get the dn preview channels like 101, if so you are on the right sat. Also quality has to be 75% in order to get picture.

i am using extreme v1072 all in one bundle to flash my view sat. i am just rplacing the mpg file with the new one "DBPSW_060813AS_XTREME.PGM"
i am trying it again to see if it works.

Your getting good information/feedback from Teri, Jpertersom, Shacky and Bel. I just installed the VSE and they all were deadb@lls right on what I needed to do. One thing you left out is what sats your pointing to and what kind of LNB/dish (dishPro). We are asumining 110 & 119. Repete after me ..... Right BIN. Make sure you get the 0000 / noch before exiting loader. If 0000 is displayed, Goto a scrambled channeled and WAIT! I mean WAIT for a good 10-15 minutes. If noch, then do F1, and when finished scanning for new channels. WAIT for a good 10-15 minutes as same above and keys will eventually roll and TV will pop in. And like Bel said .... you have to have quailty above 75% .... I had to go out and tweak my dish just a hair and it made the difference!

now I think I'll have another beer! Docta's order! Trying to pass a kidney stone! Never had one before. Has anybody gone through this? ...... why did the docta give me pain meds, a bite stick, and tell me when I'm urinating not to point in the direction of a window or mirror?

yes its echostar 6, 8, and 7 i am trying to get. now it looks like echostar 6, 8 is working, 7 is still down. i have quality over 86%

after i scaned by pressing f1 and saved it all the channels had bad signals. and now i can't watch any channels at all.

this is too complicated.

It is not, just different way.Make sure, when you type your setting, and select any TP, it has quality enough,then save them and do the scan(F1).Y you downloaded all the files including the channel info, you won't have problem with it.

i scaned. got tons of channel. put the new key in. but still no video and audio. can anyone help? thank you. umm it is kinda cloudy here, i wonder if thats the problem.

It should work without put the key manualy, because they are inside the bin.Check your conection,if you have level signal, it means that the LNB is working, but if you don't have quality in any TP, means that your antenna is not aligned to that sat,or you have the wrong settings is your box.

And it would be a good thing to turn on the autoroll. (under Options)

as per mr viewsat load open key hex in a new box it will jumpstart your auto roll if you loaded a new pgm file you should try a newer sat file with 8,10 instead of 6,8 which is old send

all you antenna settings and we will be able to get you up and going asap.. thanks

I have a new viewsat box
I loaded the factory flash, and then the lastest BIN (I loaded upload-1155574820-DBPSW_060814ES_XTREME)
I then did a Blind scan, and saw the channels getting listed.
I saved the scan... turn the box on, and then back on, and when to a channe --- and NOTHING -- no channel

--- What am i doing wrong?
Do I need to do soemtihg with this KEY HEX?? I dont even know what that is -- I am now to viewsat -- had pansat before.. please help me

how do you "tweak the dish a little" All my equipment was originally setup by DN and with their reciever I never had problems with signal unless it was raining. With my new vs extreme I show only 60 to 70 percent quality signal and I'm not picking up all the channels (see my other post in general chit chat) I'm a little afraid to move it and then loose the signal completely without knowing how to get it back.

Check your cable line & all the connector. Some time you just need new cable line for it

i have this problem to. my VS was working for 2 weeks and from yesterday morning it doesnt work. keys are good, autoroll works, signal and quality also good but fo not see anything exept fta channels. can someone help me pls.

I fixed the problem --- but here is how.
ON sat 110, all was fine and as instructed from thsi site.. but on Sat 119, I got not sign measurment (even tho I know I was hitting it). The problem was in the settings. Under "TP FREQ it was set to the same as Sat 110 which was 112444 or something like that. I changed this until I got a signal... and then everything came in -- what the heck is that.. and will me changing it come back to bite me?
