Re: viewsat extrem loader 2 problem
You could try to re-download loader2 again in case your loader2 file is some how corrupted. Or you can uninstall the com port through device manager restart the computer and have it recognize the com port again. I had a problem one time with loader2 not working turned out to be something the wife had installed on the computer that had conflicted with the com port.

Re: viewsat extrem loader 2 problem
Is your receiver working with the wrong bin then or is it flashing ----'s or 0000's? If you loaded the wrong bin on your receiver I would flash the factory extreme bin on your receiver. If the loader won't work to allow you to do that then try to re-download loader2 again and lastly try to remove the com port and reinstall it. But if you haven't already done it I'm sure you're going to have to flash the factory bin on before flashing the extreme file DBPSW-080105X on. You can find the factory bin for extremes under extreme downloads at the top in the stickys.

Re: viewsat extrem loader 2 problem
TRy to hit pc to stb first and when its started and is searching THEN turn on the reciever, If you turn the stb on too fast or at exactly the same time they wont always mesh

try to reflash factory bin(not factory default)no less than 3 times to completely refresh your memory(its the only way I ever hear of working)
then reload your current working bin P.S. READ READ READ the real problem isnt the STB or the .PGF file its the fact YOU loaded it!
Viewsat Extreme bins always end with a X IE BPSW_080105X.pfg
so in short the best way to protect your investment is to read doc's, dont just assume your good to go because someone said so ,If I had a doller for every sory man thread Ive ever read GOOD LUCK and dont forget READ

, Yup, it sounds like the port settings arent jiving, I cant tell you how to set em but When ever I see this sort of problem I suggest trying it on a Different computer just to see, If it works its the com ports if it dont its in the reciever, Good luck
