VS Extreme Heeeeeeeeelp.
Tried to upgrade receiver, but does not accept Bin. Everything froze. Tried factory default, hard reboot- the whole works and this baby looked like it just kicked the bucket. Any input would be appreciated

Re: VS Extreme Heeeeeeeeelp.
what is on lcd?
How to use LOADER PROGRAM for viewsats.
This is a detailed instruction on how to use the Loader program for Viewsat receivers. The Loader program can be use to upload files (BIN files, Factory Files, Key Files, Channel Info Files, etc.) into your receiver thru a Null Modem Cable (shipped with your receiver) or a compatible USB to Serial cable.
-NOTE: If using a USB to Serial cable, make sure to first install the driver for the cable.
If you do not have the Loader Program, you can download it HERE
Install Loader to your PC
MAKE SURE THAT YOUR STB IS OFF (TURN OFF WITH REAR POWER SWITCH)
Connect the STB to your PC using the Null Modem Cable or USB to Serial Cable
Run the Loader program
Click on TOOL > CONFIGURATION and select the COM port assigned to your serial port. (If you get a 'COM Port Fail' warning, select another COM Port from the list)
Click the Open File button and select the file to load
Now press the PC>STB button.
WHEN THE ZMODEM WINDOW APPEARS, TURN ON YOUR STB
The file will start to load
When the file finish loading, you'll see a 'Download Complete' window.
Click OK and wait until your STB reboots and you see 'END' on the receiver's display.
DO NOT TURN OFF THE STB OR UNPLUG ANY CABLES UNTIL THIS ENTIRE PROCESS IS COMPLETED. YOU CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE STB IF UNPLUG OR POWER OFF BEFORE COMPLETION
Disconect the STB from the PC and hook it up to your TV. Set your Antenna Settings and scan the sat/sats if needed.
Hope this helps and happy testing!

Re: VS Extreme Heeeeeeeeelp.
Load the file from a different PC, like a buddies laptop and you'll be fine.
