Bev - dn
BEV might be down for some time.
I would like to try switching over to DN .
Here are my Stats Provided by satellite finder
Satellite Data
Name: 91.0W Nimiq 1 | Galaxy 11, 17 | DirecTV 1 Distance: 38010km
Dish Set up
Elevation: 37.1°
Azimuth (true): 196.3°
Azimuth (magn.): 207.3°
LNB Skew: 11.5°

what is the easiest way to convert ?
If i have to repoint my dish whats the best way ?
I"m Afraid if i mess it up i won"t get BEV back when the fix comes in .
Dish Skew: 90.0°

Re: Bev - dn
110W is Good to your Location...Just put a Marker in your setting(Dish) so you'll not mess up.

Re: Bev - dn
Hey joeeking
Good to see you again dude,
Before you do anything, mark on your dish with a Sharpie where all of your settings are, what I mean is, draw a small line on where things intersect. If your elevation is 26degrees, draw a line at 26 so you can put B3V back in the future if you need to.
Then in your ANT settings set up for 110 and 119 and then proceed to turn your dish to the new location. A cheap analog SAT signal meter $15.00 would make this way easier) if you are doing it alone.
Check the Dish Pointing forum for more info, vids ect ...

Re: Bev - dn
For sure .... having all of the B3V co-ordinates noted, makes switching back all that much easier, should you ever need to go back.

Re: Bev - dn
Thanks again for your help.
it"s good to be back where people care about each other.
It"s The time Of year when things go bad, but it"s good to know i Have friends that will help.
1 ) change my Antenna settings on the receiver to 110 and 119.
Not sure how. It"s set for nimiq only right now .
2) go on the roof and adjust the dish to receive a good signal .
Down elevation and turn to the right where i am to get DN
Install latest fix ( before or after all this ? )
I usually have 2 telephones with my wife and locate signal and fine tune with her help.
The Sat meter sounds easier and convenient . I will have to look into one of them .

Re: Bev - dn
Lots of channels you won't be used to ... it'll take you a while to get used to it.
Lots of Charlie propoganda channels
But enjoy it still the same.
I remember you have an 18" dish, but what LNB's and that are you using, any switches etc ...
