Big brown truck just left and I got my VS2000 Extreme !

VS2000 Exteme "real deal" thanks to this forum for info on spotting fakes.
Dishpro 500 with 2 LNBF'S 110 AND 119

On my dish pro 500, one LNBF is 110 and the other is 119 they both feed into a pvdpr diplexer 2 into 1. My question is do I connect my VS2000 Exteme using this switch or should I use the viewsat diseqc switch that came with unit and if so do I connect into LNB1 & 2 on the diseqc or does it matter ?

Thanks in advance !

dane

Thanks tomcat01,

The existing switch connected is from the Dish network (The previous owner left it and had the service from Dish Network but left the Dish and wiring) The switch is a Perfect Vision PVDP4 Diplexer 40-2300mhz 2 in 1.

The switch that came with the Viewsat is a Viewsat SW-41 900-2400mhz 4 in 1 DISEqC Switch

The LNBF's on my Dishpro are actually labeled like molded in the plastic of each LBNF, one says 110 the other says 119. I do not have the black sticker on my Dishpro which from what I read is the one with the built in switch. If I do not use a switch and run out of only 1 LBNF I will only get 110 or 119, not both from what I read here. Any thoughts on this ?

Legacy SW---none or whatever type of LNB you have i.e. Quad DP etc.

Now since you have a DP LNB then you would set the DiSEqC as you have on your pansat.

OK now since you have a sw21 switch you should puy it on and run one line to your Duel LNB and one to the single LNB and then to your receiver. Set the first 119 to port 1 and 110 to port 2 then for 61,5 turn on 22KHz and put that on port 3 or 4 which ever works.

I think I found it ! Thanks to Carp's thread, It looks like the diseqc ! I will hook it up and see what happens !

sounds like you have a dish 500 with 2 legacy lnbs.
remove any switch that was installed.(unless a vs person tells you otherwise)
and hook each into a port on your new diseqc swich.
then simply set up the same way in the stb's menu.and scan.
this should be simple as pansat this way, please allow a viewsat owner for further instuctions.but this should be the basic setup buddy.

Actually I took of the the plastic plate behind the twin LBNF's and the two coax cables were plugged into one of the LBNF's and it said in the metal above the connected cables, 1 & 2.

For the other LBNF it had only one coax connector and nothing was plugged in at all.

ps. And there is a black sticker on the back of mine and it has a black DP PLUS logo on it.
