vs2000 extreme bin file dl problem

I have a vs2000 cant load new file in the reciever the box show a u or doun on front, sometimes the loader does load 2 100 but not download complete and somtimes show bad zepos what does that mean, thought it may be r232 cable but dl fine into friends sat and setting not problem the file 2-03 still working but starting to freeze but cant get new 2-27 dl in the box fraustrated please help!

Do a Factory default, load the Factory file and then the new file. Should solve the problem.

I've had the same problem. I assume you are using loader2. Download loader1. It should work the first time. It did for me anyway. Hope this helps. Let me know if it resolves your problem.

Unfortunately, the problem faced by this member is a bad load. And the panel shows numbers etc.

Thats why he needs to do a Factory default, load the Factory file and then the new file.

If it still dont work like Vgiddy mention then cleaner file might solve the prob.

It seemed to be real close to what I experienced with my PVR, but then I Don't have the experience you do.

I know the factory default in the menu I did that and file 2-03 was still there, but when you say factory file is that a dl bin, because I tried to load two file one that said newosd_xtreme_v2013_factory_bin and xtreme_v0279.pgm thats when I get bad zrpos get#255 in the loader2 status box and they would not dl into the box or is it another thing completely. please explain step maybe not doing it right. thanks for the help!

Thats right I forgot about the cleaner file. Load that file to bring the receiver back to Factory setup.

ok tried to load a cleaner file the loader box shows 100 status: send zeof...but not down complete the reciever box shows a d on the front of it and nothing happen off the reciever then the loader shows down complete but the reciever didnt get the file, feel stuck help!

1. You need to use a Null Modem cable for that receiver.
2. You need to open Loader2 and select the file and click on PC->STB.
3. Next Switch ON the rear switch to start loading.
4. When finished the panel will show I.N.S.T.
5. Wait till it shows 0000 or the last channel that was viewed - say 0200.
Thats when it is complete.

ok tried all the step in loading the cleaner file stuck at the same spot loader shows 100 status: zeof...not down complete and reciever shows a d on it. It wont even load the factory file or new bin loader status shows status: zrpos get#255... or its says error really frustraded now thanks for the help

please u may think im konkets but heck no ...not the factoy file the cleaner will do what u want without rescaning & set-up .& if u do a defult u loss it all again.

no 1 likes resetting & scanning.

some tymes the letter D shows in stb display ,, its the end of the word end. get it the letter D just wait till 00.01 shows then click ok on the pc . then off on the back .then hook up as normal on tv then plug in wall boot from back wait till yea the 00.01 then on from the remote of ur front buttonor remote.

ok I did what u said then I tried to load the new file 2-27 the loader counts but not the reciever while a u shows on the reciever and get stuck at 100 I turn it off from the back then its down load complete but the file 2-27 is not installed or it pauses for a second then says error ocurred I cant get any file to download into the receiver I even tried to dl old files nothing goes in like it suppose to not even the cleaner file sometime I get in the loader status area badzrpos.. get #255 can someone please tell what that means. I thought it could be my wire but it counting or is there something wrong with my reciever. Can anyone help solve my problem

Try Loader1 it should work. Like I said I had exactly the same problem. Its certainly not going to hurt anything and it should solve your problem. I'm pretty confident.

ok dl loader1 that work, thanks but loader2 works on my friends cant figure out why it wont work on me, but thanks for the help and suggestions, if I have any more problems at lease have somewhere to go now for help!!!!!!!
