They are legacy LNB's and you would need the switch that came with the receiver. Connect 119 to #1 and 110 to #2 and the receiver in to the house. Make sure you have loaded the 2051 factory bin and the new fix bin before you connect the receiver. Make sure the backswitch is Off whenever you connect or disconnect the receiver. After you have connected the receiver to the TV turn it on and set up the settings. Go to Options first and turn everything on except for the Beep ( it will drive you nuts). Then go to installation and to Parental Control, once there turn off receiver lock and menu lock. Exit and go to Antenna setup there you will find EchoStar 7 and 8,10, on 7 you will set the settings as fallows
LNB Power-On
LNB Type-Standard
LNB Freq.-11250
22KHz-Off
TP Freq.-12239
Search Options-All
DiSEqC 1.0-Port 1
Motor-Off
Legacy SW-None
Then Hit the red F1 button and scan the satellite.
Then do the same for 8,10 but the only difference you will start with TP Freq.12224 and port 2

Carp,
How do I do this above ? Do I sign up for the download membership.(it will be no problem) also I do not have a 9 pin on my box.. I have usb's etc. What kind of cable or just an adapter for the 9pin to usb ? I am gonna need some step by step on this perhaps. Let me know my options and I really appreciate you.
Thanks

And remember make sure the power is off before you hit PC-STB on the loader and load one program at a time and clear the loader after each program load. MAKE SURE YOU LET IT LOAD COMPLETELY DO NOT TURN IT OFF TILL IT IS FINISHED LOADING!

I have the loader installed and cable connected from pc to viewsat(power off but plugged in) and when I try to open the 2051 bin file in main software window I keep getting an error in initializing.
I have the factory bin and the extreme fix files and loader and modem in one folder. They were zip downloaded and un- zipped to load. Are the files shown on your pdf something I should have, as mine are not named as your pdf shows?

My experience
Dane,
I just bought an extreme two days ago. All I did was load the new bin and key file, set the antenae settings and scanned. That was it.
I had all the same questions you did when I started. If you got the usb to serial adaptor working, that was the hardest part of your battle.
Good luck

Key File
Sorry, just got back from the river...
The key file seems to get loaded with the new bin. You have it already if you are watching tv.
Someone correct me if I am wrong, but you should be able to upload it with your loader. There are a few steps to pull the files from the box, but not too bad.
Search this site like I did and everything you need is here.
Have fun...
