half a fix
I got my channels to scan, had to change lnb's. Stb showed I had signal but channels wouldn't scan. Still freezing up like before, even did it while scanning for channels. If anybody has an idea that doesn't involve factory default or factory file, let me know. Stb has been factory filed to death.

Re: half a fix
What Receiver are you using? Some seem to be working and others are not right now. I have signal and Quality, and the channels scanned, but I only see black.

Re: half a fix
bmfloyd - You have to follow the whole process again.
1. Do a factory default. 2. Use the "cleaner - X file" and load it found here: http://www.abadss.com/forum/174-view...-x-xtreme.html 3. Load the newest file for the VS Extreme found here: http://www.abadss.com/forum/174-view...ement-fix.html 4. Do another Factory default. 5. Add all your Satellite information, go through the Menu and check the following Auto roll - ON, Date, SID etc. 6. Do a Auto channel search. 7. Go to channel 200 CNN. 8. Hard reboot the receiver - ie Shut off the rear switch, wait 1 minute and Switch back ON. Leave on Channel 200 to roll keys (approx 20 minutes) 9. Watch TV. |
