Still freezing up
My extreme is still freezing up, For more details please read my previous posts about freezing. Vgiddy gave me a list of things to do and I followed them to a Tee except for the letting it autoroll for about 20 minutes. He said to turn to 200 (CNN) and let autoroll, probably about 20 minutes. Should I let it stay on 200 even if tv is working , mine was up in 20 seconds. If someone with superior knowledge says to do this and it will work, I'll do it again but I really don't think it will work. It even freezes up while trying to scan for channels. This has been happening for two weeks. I hoped maybe a new file would be the fix but no dice.
I've tried every idea people gave me in previos posts and it didn't work. Lnb's have been replaced and I put in a new Disq switch. This setup had been working fine for a year and a half til two weeks ago. I'd like to have it right atleast for 1 day before nagra 3 hits. As always, any help appreciated.

Re: Still freezing up
That's the one I got and all channels are working, just freezes up. Not like usual when screen freezes but screen goes black then comes back in about 10 to 15 seconds. Happens every 15 minutes or so.

Re: Still freezing up
The keys rolled earlier, see if auto roll turned off helps you at all.

Re: Still freezing up
already did that, weird thing is though, it does it before and or during set up and scanning. Same as it does after scanning. Maybe It should be a door stop.

Re: Still freezing up
That's still a good unit, some are more prone to changes.
That may be one of them.

Re: Still freezing up
Maybe it's a secret charlie deal. It's only went out once during a commercial in two weeks, always during a show!

Re: Still freezing up
if still prob then try extreme cleaner file.
1.factory default
2. apply xcleaner file
3.load latest bin
4.turn auto rool on,time seting etc
5. antena set up.and auto scan.
6.Reboot from back switch.
leave it on channel 200. and let it rool. i m sure this will fix the prob...... good luck
