Problems with IKS ? neoSat ipro1000k
Before you call your Admin and Mods here please Think of some things that could have gone wrong..

Server is down Again?

Here are some reasons why your TV will go down from time to time with a freeze or disconnect....

...because we are always connected through the internet to a Server !!!

Server can slow down /go completely off...when a number of issues contribute.

What causes contribute to a Server to slow down....? One of the most often reasons is Latency... and timeouts and DOS attacks...
Servers and Internet connected computers experience this all the time.

What Is Latency? and time outs...and so called ."loss of packets"?

Suppose you have an application called ‘mousepling’ (that should make a ‘pling’ sound if you click on a button). The latency is the time between your finger clicking the mouse button and you hearing the pling. How long will take , the time can be mesured up and the speed/delay of it can be tweaked....

Causes of latency:

Latency can be caused by several different problems, a few of which are listed here:

Link Overutilization: The most common cause of latency is overutilization of a link. When the amount of traffic passing over an IP link increases to to a high percentage of the total bandwidth of that link, the latency across that link begins to increase. The closer the utilization gets to 100%, the worse the latency becomes.
Massive amounts of traffic to the site caused things to slow to a crawl on the shared server.

Router Overutilization: When routers become overutilized, (CPU utilization approaches 100%), their ability to route traffic quickly becomes impaired. This may be due to the router attempting to handle more traffic than it was designed for, or a shortage of router resources such as memory. Router overutilization may also be caused by malicious attacks on the router, such as denial-of-service attacks. The timeouts could be due to an attack... DOS

Firewall Issues: Firewalls can be affected by many of the same problems as routers. These include overutilization due to lack of resources and malicious attacks.Freezes or disconnects? you may be encountering extreme latency problems. This latency is related to your computer's connection to the Internet via your ISP. Latency happens when it takes information too long to go from your computer to the servers (or vice versa).
In this case we do have one more reason for loss of puckets ,the information transfered from the first Server to the Dammy one!!

There are three typical causes of latency and packet loss:

* Lack of bandwidth
* Slow connection speeds
* A busy ISP
Here are some Enemies....

Enemy 1: Badly configured PC (not as much in this case)

The single most common cause of poor performance is a windows PC that is in poor shape for broadband.

While on this subject , usual other warnings apply.. insufficient memory (128mb is really the lower limit now for any windows install), underpowered processor , an aging and unstable windows installation, accumulation of shareware, particularly SPYWARE and MALWARE .

Enemy 2: Overloading of an ISP gateway.
.... putting too many users on one router can cause maximum cpu usage at peak hours and therefore slow-downs, despite bandwidth being available.

Enemy 3: Peak hour versus off-peak
Enemy 4: Routing Problems

Routing problems can cause weird drops in speed. 99% of the time, your data packets travel along the same path upstream as back down, but it isnt necessarily so. Sometimes there are router problems and packets can start taking alternate routes (loss of packets)

...and many many more problems related to users end Servers end.......The Internet is one of the best things that happened to the humans ...and now with IKS HERE is even better

So if your iPRO 1000 stops bringing you that porno of your TV for a second , Please Don`t blast the Admin or mods (UNNECESSARY) .but serious, they can not do anything about it., all they can do is to report it higher ,don't forget Admins & mods do watch TV too..Don`t Bash v2neo because of this either, as someone said on TV in regards to his own business called "hairclub for man" ."I`m not only the President but also a client..."...lol
But a word of wisdom...".Don`t bite the Hand that feeds you " is in order here, for both of us (towards the Admin or from the Admin/mods side ,to us)......
because as someone in here said before : You people are the true spirit of FTA testers and you deserve to be applauded not punished for your efforts...

regards carlos60
