neosat 1000 help please - ABA DSS

well i am familiar with fta setups, but this is the first neosat i have dealt with. what loader do i need to use? i have the ipro2000 loader but it doesnt seem to work maybe a lil help from sum fellow neosat users? i noticed that my nfusion remote is exactly the same as well and when i play with the remote for neosat it controls the nfusion to....do they use the same software? remember i am using a neosat ipro 1000

nope no usb, just the rs232

1 Click on Ipro_loader.exe
2 On the top right choose correct com port (usually 1 or 2) than click OPEN
3 In the middle section you will see a box with “….” Click on that
4 In the new window that opens up you will be able to select the latest file Make sure the file is in .hzf format
5 Make sure power is off from switch in back
6 Click on UPGRADE SOTWARE
7 Turn power on from back switch
8 Make sure you ipro is plugged into the power and has rs232 cable plugged in and turn it ON
9 You will see the update taking place
10 wait till the ipro2000 displays GOOD on its display
11 Power off the unit and plug it back to your tv
12 Remember to FACTORY DEFAULT your unit by going to MENU->Installation->Factory Default

i have an ipro 1000 does that matter? because i have went thru the steps from above already and it keeps sayin its waitin for target, i tried opening different comports but it doesnt
let me use none but comport1

Q: When I click on Upgrade Software I see a message PORT NOT OPEN
A: You forgat to select your correct comport and click OPEN
Q: When I click on Upgrade Software on the bottom it says Waiting for Target and box doesn’t update
A: Power off/on the ipro2000 from switch on the back of the unit. Also its possible you have chosen wrong Com port for your PC

ok man, i have already explained previously all i have to use is an rs232 cable, no usb port, and i am using an ipro 1000 receiver, i have also said that i do not get to open any other comports except number1, number1 is only comport that will open, i have also tried turnin box off from the rocker switch and the remote after choosing upgrade software but it doesnt load any files.

thats because they are the same unit.
only a few changes.
they can use the same software yes.but the tuners are different,so you wont be able to jack into nova's iks.
cardless support has ended for these older gems.tho,you might try a blujay file if you want,it might be up right now.dunno.

you have the wrong loader.
you need to check out the neosat ipro 1k and or neosat/neusat lite download sections for old files.

nope.all neosat ipro 1k owners lost their iks support due to a brake up in camps.
the iks technology at that time went with the new nfusion nova.(aka neosat ipro 1k in new skin).thats why many neosat ipro 1k owners got pissed and never wanted anything to do with the nova's lol.
old story.but its still fun.

well counting the shipping cost im out about a 100 bux, because now for sum reason i turn the box on and only get a red blinking light, no numbers on display or ne thing. cant get box to except ne files only thing i can get it to do is turn on and off with the rocker switch on back. hell i never got any programming to cum up on it either when i did get the files loaded to it, but heck i dunno what to do now....target practice ne1?

well,you can try to flash a file with it by starting the loader first,and then hit the rear switch on.this works for many stbs to force then to load.
you can research the neo 1k/lite and even nova sections for similar causes and recovery tips.and use same basic ideas to get it recovered.
tho remember its gunna be primarily for true fta use only when/if you do restore it.
