How to revive a dead Neusat
here is the easy steps to load files using the stb downloader:
1. Turn off unit (back switch)
2. Connect unit to computer using null modem cable
2. open stb downloader
3. load bin file
4. select connect
5. Turn on unit (back switch)
6. Push power button on unit
You should see the file loading on the stb downloader screen.
This method should also be used for all users that have killed their units by loading the wrong bin file onto the receiver. They can revive their receiver by loading the correct factory production file using the stb downloader only. After it is complete, the unit will automatically turn on by itself.
I will add that there is no indication on the stb that it is receiving the file and you need to be patient and allow plenty of time for the Neusat to reboot itself.
