Having trouble with a Ariza Xtreme - ABA DSS

My Aziza Xtreme won't change from satille to satille have to change cable on dish to see different programs what can i do

I thought it was the switch got a new one but still won't change can anyone help getting tired of walking back an fourth Ariza xtreme

Is it setup in the antenna section of the receiver properly ?

As mountaineer said, your switch ports should match the same settings in the receiver set up. For example, if you have 110 connected to port 1 of the disecq switch, make sure that you have selected disecq port 1 for 110 in the receiver settings.

Hi, Thanks for your help in advance. I have a new ariza extream. I have the uploader. I am using a null cable attarched to usb from rad shack which comes with cd for the driver. The port open the bin loads. But when I power up and on the receiver to upload and click start nothing happen. I have used the the ariza 2500 several times and I thought the uploaders work similar by turning off and on the receiver. I am lost I have try every way I can get it to upload to the receiver. Help please.

have you tried pushing start on the uploader first then turn on your receiver. that was my proplem at frist

thanks !yes I have tried that several times. I dont know if the rad shack usb is not talking to the receiver. But it says port on. The driver for for the connection to the null cable says is working. My laptop recognizes the usb when is plug in and says its working.

I had Xtreme Ariza installed by someone one month ago.
These days I can watch only about 10-20% of the channels as the rest of them shows "Stand-by... Download" all the time. EPG shows the programs ( very interesting to me) but I could not watch them ( even World-Cup)

I watched 2 weeks without problem but one day I touched the Favorite, then touched "All" as I thought it meant all favorites ( but actually All Satellites) then it disturbed the system, and it showed no channel at all later. The salesman said, in such case, it destroys the whole program. Then I had a big trouble with finding Password, because the system could not remember the Password. I thought it had Alzheimer disease in the program. But one day I plugged off all the power, then re-started. Then the previous Password worked, and I had to re-scan by Autoscan for 2 Satellites.
I had to restart from Factory set-up, which may have erased some program there.
So, in this case, how can I resolve the problem? Your kind assistance will be extremely appreciated. Please help me resolve this before World-Cup ends.

My question might have been ambiguous as I am a newbie here.

My Dish Info is Echostar 3, LNB standard(11250), DiSEq 1,
Echostar 7, LNB Standard ( 11250). DiSEq 3,

I can view channels like GSN, Angel 2, PBS, etc about 30 or so.
The rest like ESPN, Court, etc show "Stand-by..Download " all the time.
Can anyone help this newbie?

has any one used the upload with rs232 usb to serial on ariza extream? I can get this the uploader to work. Is loading the bin but wan't do anything when you press start. Thanks

Is this the first time you have loaded a Bin?
If so you will have to configure your com port.

Sorry I just read your other post, odds are that is the wrong serial cable that's why it won't work. The same goes for the Viewsats, you can't use the radio shack cable it does not work as a null (twisted).

ya i'm using the same set up got mine from future shop both the usb and null cable are made by belkin and mine works fine.

It should work, just check if the drivers are the right.

I use to have ariza 400 & 500 and a desktop to load my bins. It worked fine with the cable that came with it from wws. The new ariza extream came with a similar cable but I dont have my desk top anymore. I have a laptop. I have ordered RS 232 cable with a driver in addition to the radio shack version. the radio schack version says it uses com 3. the new rs 232 cable the driver install but does not do anything. I don't know what it is but if it is my com port how do I configure it please!. I have had this box for a month and no tv. Thank you all.

Go to control panel then to systems then to hardware and them to device management there you will find Ports click on that and configure it.
