key instructions!!!

o.k. everyone, My merc II is down, and I am totally confused with this manual key programming. So can someone send me instructions on how to turn off my Autoroll, and enter the keys manually? Just link me to a instruction site!! I am lost!! thanks in advance for any help to get me back up and watching t.v. later surfrat

Is there anything in your manual?
Have you looked in the section for downloads and help for your mercII?

When you go into Menu 9999 to enter the keys, set the EMU Key Update option to No. I believe this is the autoroll function on the Merc II. If not, someone please correct me, but it seems to work this way.

Select the key line that is active that you want (DISH OR BEV KEY 00 OR 01)
Using up/down arrows select first line[/FONT]

I've recently installed my FTA system and everything seems OK. I've tried the instructions for entering the keys. I can't get beyond entering 9999. My receiver does not do anything at that point. Do I have to install a particular bin file into the receiver in order to be able to enter keys manually??
