Re: SV-1000 display error 8888
I would do a factory reset ,reload newest bin....don't forget to let the receiver return to the 12:00 on the display before turning off at the back and unhooking the cable

Load the factory bin with the loader for that unit and the cable that came with it when you got it.

Re: SV-1000 display error 8888
This is what tried:
- Downloaded factory bin
- Turned off the receiver
- Connected the Serial cable
- Started the Loader & selected the Factory Bin
- Turned the receiver ON
But the downloader was not able to send the Bin file to receiver. I guess the receiver was not taking it. Ideas?
Thanks

Re: SV-1000 display error 8888
My advice would be to get a serial port checker, Google 'Free Serial Port Checker' there are a few good ones, and also ensure that you have the baud rate set correctly 115200.

Re: SV-1000 display error 8888
http://www.abadss.com/forum/237-sv-1...el-master.html
you probably have this stuff but here again get the loader from above ..
next here is the factory file
http://www.abadss.comhttp://www.abad...tory-file.html
next you have to have a null modem cable hopefully yours came with one
if it says rs232 on the cable you have the wrong one ..

Re: SV-1000 display error 8888
Do the following steps:
1. Plug turn on the STB (the STB need to be on so your PC can detect the USB)
2. plug one end into Device (on stb) the other to your PC
3. install the driver (Windows will auto detect and ask you to install the neccessay driver for the device)
4. Turn off your STB (using back switch, you need to turn off the Unit before running USB LOADER or TFTPServ)
5. on your pc, open USB Loader or TFTPServ, open the necessary file you wanted (YOU NEED TO TURN OFF YOUR STB FROM THE BACK BEFORE OPEN USB LOADER)
6. Then turn on your STB (using back switch)
the download should take no more than 15 sec, but leave the STB alone untill it completely reboot itself.
Troubleshoot
Numerous users have report that they have problem when install the driver on their Laptop.
Symtom: in the middle of the driver installation, the laptop screen black out and doesn't response, give the blue screen of death or automatically restart and the driver installation never complete.
this is cause by the USB controller on the laptop, mostly Toshiba Model. Dell also
Solution: Instead of connect the PVR directly to the laptop, put an USB hub in between, so the configuration will be
Laptop USB PORT >>>> USB HUB >>> USB on Sonicview PVR.
Hope this help guys
