What am I doing wrong? - ABA DSS

Someone else always fixes this for me when it goes down, but now they're away on holidays, and apparently I didn't pay close enough attention on how to fix it! I did a factory reset, I used the loader (downloader v0201) and the latest Charlie fix...

Everything works exactly the way the instructions say it's supposed to, until I plug it in and scan for channels, then it says that they're all locked.

I have a SV1000 and a Toshiba Satellite laptop. I read the warnings about the toshiba and dell laptops getting the blue screen of death and whatnot, but that's not the problem. It seems to load fine, goes through the ''save'", "boot" and "lang" but then... no channels. It even still shows me the guide, but says "waiting for update" when i try to select a channel.

I saw a notation about flashing the box before updating, but i can't seem to find instructions on how exactly to do that. Could that be the reason for my problems? I've tried this at least a dozen times now, what am I doing wrong?

ok you have it flashed now check the guide doi you have channels there and did the populate info ??

now if you did a factory flash you have to also put in all your settings again for the dish and lnb setting etc.. io think that is your problem .

i have all my port settings for the 3 echostars, I put all 3 in with the correct port #'s and press the yellow button. It FINDS the channels, but they all say locked as it scans?

well you have all your channels there and the guide is populated (you can see whats on in the guide ) and then when you check your antenna settings you have a good quality and signal yes ????

then go into your menu and make sure that auto roll and auto tp are on .. if they are shut off in the back and back on and wait on one channel DO NOT SWITCH CHANNELS ..

It says locked because it has locked on to the transponders for that satelille and it scans
