need some direction

Hello I am trying to align another sat. I have another dish completely and hooked through the disecq switch. i am trying to get echo 110 w. in the strength meter i get up to 62, quality stays at 0. I have never tried to do this i have a sv 1000, any help or direction to some threads of this nature would be greatly appreciated, thanks

The 0 q reading probably means you haven't found the sat yet and you need to align your dish still. You might also have some antenna settings wrong.

here are some hints:

how to load a bin file

1. download newest bin file from proper area.
2. MAKE SURE you unzip the file (I use winrar). unzip to desktop.
3. open loader 1 or 2 program, whichever one you have.
4. click open files and select desktop.
5. double click file or drag file to loader program. 6. click "open". file appears in box. select it and click open one more time.
7.file is now ready to load onto stb. IMPORTANT- turn switch on back of receiver off
now if you havent done it already.
8. connect your usb- serial cable to the pc and stb now.
if you have a usb stick you dont use the cable
9. click the pc-stb button.
10. turn on the stb with the switch on back now.
11. wait for the file to load and the word "end" to dissapear and the channel # to
return. turn off again with switch on back before you disconnect the usb-serial cable.
12. file is now loaded, reconnect to tv and turn on again only after all connections are done.
13. wait for new file to autoroll and commence testing enjoyment!!


signal and quality issues


if you are having problems with signal or quality try these steps:

* do a hard reboot with the switch on back.
* make sure you have the right sat selected in your antenna settings.
* check your antenna settings to be sure they are correct.
* check all your connections including the switch to be sure they are tight and working.
* if your quality is low or 0 you may need to align your dish.
* make sure you have the latest bin file.
* try different lnb types to be sure you have the right one.
* before moving, changing, or disconnecting any cables turn your stb off with the
switch on back.

leg switch-off

I cant seem to get the strength over 63 and no quality at all. On my nimiq 1,3 91 w I get strength of 62 and quality of 90. i am trying to line up on 110 w. Any help or info is greatly appreciated.

signal at 63 is fine but you have to get quality
what is the setup

1 dish with a big lnb with 2 eyes
1 dish with 2 seperate lnbs
2 dishes with 1 lnb each

it is 2 seperate dishes with each its own lnb.

If it is a single LNB on an 18" dish like the BEV dish, just aim it about 20 degrees to the west, and about 4 elevations lower than the way your BEV dish is aimed.

Change the LNB Type to Standard, also.

Well I got lined up with 110 finally, echo6,8, strenght is good (62) quality is 70-74.Do I needto get this higher? and once I do what do I have to do to get all the ck\hanels from that bird? Please anyone let me know, thanks.
