Data Transfer Problem SV1000
Still not able to set up my STB! Completed all steps in "SV Receiver Manual and everything goes well up until Step 10. The Date Transfer window progress bar indicates no action. When I hit Stop - window "SW Downloader" shows "STB not connected or version not supported"
Can anyone help?
Thanx again!

Using Loader 2.1 ... Any ideas? I ran through s2byus's "Test your PC setup for STB loading" and all results where correct, so the cable is not the problem. Thanx

Re: Data Transfer Problem SV1000
Not necessarily, there are 2 types of cables null and straight, and they look identical. Have you been successful with the cables and this receiver before?

Re: Data Transfer Problem SV1000
Did these cables work for you in the past?
There are straight cables and null modem cables.
The "Test your PC setup for STB loading" works for both and doesn't know what cable is beeing tested for what receiver.
The SV receivers need null modem cables.

Re: Data Transfer Problem SV1000
No, I have never been able to complete a download! It is a NexXtech product with female end, to a male to male adapter, then into the VS1000 female.
Any ideas?
Thanx

Re: Data Transfer Problem SV1000
Thanx s2byus. The cable markings say - USB Serial Adapter, Model # 2613297. I have an adapter between the cable and the VS1000 as it matches up the two female connections.
Thanx
