Working vs Non-Working iPPVR Function

Although the Nfusion works great, and believe me it's more than great, it really dosen't seem like the PPR funtion is really working for most testers. There seems to only be a few that I read that claim it works great for them.

I really like to hear from those that Claim they have it working correctly & please indicate your settings....

I really like to hear from those that DON'T have it working & your settings as well.

My problem has been that I've only gotten it work 5 times from a few secs to about 10 minutes. From the time I hit the "rec" button, it does anything from tv picture freezes, picture flickers on tv screen, black screen comes up on the pc, status bar for stays at zero, status bar starts to move, records actually starts but stops. Not all happens everytime but all are constant. After which I stop the rec with the stop button on the remote, only to be left with no sound or black picture screen of the tv or even both. To which I can turn off stb & back on to get them back.

1. Using a Linksys Router WRT300N as my main Router with a WGA54G Wireles G Game Adapter(nothing but a fancy name for Bridge) connected to the stb & a WRT54G v1.1 Wireless Router turned into a Wireless Repeater Bridge connected to the stb (of course not at the same time).

2. I'm planning running a line from the stb to the main router with a desktop connect to that same router & try to record to that computer? If anyone has this setup & it works please indicate so in you post.

3. All security is turn off on computer, routers, & adapter.

4. Tried All PPR programs (beta 3.0, beta 12, & the IPPVR)

5. Recorded to both laptop & desktop both with XP Pro

6. Bin file 1.42

please include what ever information you have.

I'm in the same boat as you:

1. Linksys 8 port switch
2. XPSP2 20 gig drive
3. 1.8 TB NAS Server

I have it hardwired into the network no security on the internal side of the network. I have it set to the 20 gig (same thing) I have it set to the NAS and the same thing. Used all the versions
I get the same as you freezing, black screen lockups. I understand there working the bugs out of it and I believe it will be a good system when they get it done for now I use the CS7K (when it's working) to get everything and I convert it to mpeg to Tivo and sit back so no complaints.
