Newbie Saying Hello

Hi Yall,
I am new to this community and wanted to introduce myself. I am a transplanted New Orleanean to the State of Texas....and we recently invested in this concept of free to air satellite...and I am stumped...
I have the "dummy" instructions and they seem pretty easy to follow. My problem is that I was not provided with a web site to go to to implement the instructions .... or does the system react like IPod and once you plug it in, it automaticlly takes you to where you need to be? We have a Coolsat...any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Welcome RanchHand, you have come to the right place for the best help from the friendliest people, don't be afraid to ask anything related to FTA here. Their is some very knowledgeable people at your fingertips. First, you will need to get the bin file in download section for your brand and model STB, you will also need winrar or winzip, ( free on internet ), this used to compress the file you download, your other question, does it act like a ipod, all the infomation has to be loaded in the STB for it to work, that is basically a bin file, it deciphers the code of what ever network you wish to go with, Dis# or Be#. Let us know if we can give you any more info to get you started, we are here to help, ask away...

ITS NOT THAT BAD BUD..
IT WILL BE AT FIRST, LIKE ANYTHING ELSE IT TAKES TIME. YOU GET THE HANG OF IT AND IF YOU NEED ANY HELP JUST ASK. DON'T WORRY ABOUT QUESTIONS YOU THINK MAYBE STUPID BECAUSE THERE ARE NO STUPID QUESTIONS ON THIS SITE. IF YOU GET a chance go into the forum section and take a good look around so you'll be famillar with the different sections.
Its like riding a bike...almost??..LOL..
see you tomorrow.
Sorry about the caps..

Look on your LNB and tell us what is wrote on it so we will know what settings to give you. At top of page there is a photo gallery,( on same line as membership upgrade) click on this and it gives some pics of different LNB's, look and see which one you have...
