Brasilsat B3

Hi all,
I have a 16' BUD with C/Ku band LNB. I also have a GI 2750R that I only use as dish mover and a pansat 2700A. When I do a blind scan on Brasilsat B3 (C Band - at the location where it should be) I find severals transponders (with a good signal 60%) then the pansat start scanning channels. At the end it always says : 0 channels found ! I don't understand why ? Satcodx and Lyngsat report many mpeg2 unencrypted channels on brasilB3 that I should receive with my pansat. When I move to AMC3 or AMC6 or PAS9 or Intelsat805, I don't have this problem. I get a lot of channels. Many of them are encrypted but I still get them.
Help will be greatly appreciated.

I have the same problem with that one! Good signal and quality but no channels.

Hello, sorry for posting this without much research. Is it possible to get Brasilsat B1,2,3 or 4 on any of the FTA receivers? And also what kind of dish and lnb would i need? Thank you.

As far as I know, the pansat is a mpeg2 receiver and therefore should be able to receive any mpeg2 transmission. I understand I may not be able to view a channel that is encrypted like powervu for exemple. But what I really don't understand, how comes when I scan B3 i find severals TPs and 0 channels. Why do lyngsat and statcodx report those channels as mpeg2 if they are not ? Are there different kind of mpeg2 transmissions ?

Brasil Sats 1/2/3&4 the sats beams are national or regional, that means they are pointed to Brasil only, not north America. To get some brazilian channels on C band you have to go to 55.5W intelsat 805 and get Tv Capixaba from S. Paulo. Or you can try at 61.0W Amazonas Sat and get Tv Cidade from Fortaleza. You can see this information at Lyngsat and on the right hand side they say where the beams are pointing. Like North America or Conus that means continental US. All of you guys have a nice day.Trebla.
