New and confused
Hi new here.
I have a veiwsat ultra lite connected to a dish 500 with dishpro twin lnb. The lnb's have only one coax jack. When installing do I connect both lnbs to a diseqc switch witch came with the reciever or do I only hook the coax cable up to only one lnb from the reciever.
thanks fir any info.

Re: New and confused
First off welcome to ABAdss... Each coax jack is for 119 and 110. If you are facing the coax in the LNB, 119 is in the left side and 110 is in the right side...
Here's the Antenna setting:
For 110W
LNB power : ON
LNB type : ocs-dp
LNB Freq. 11250
22mhz : OFF
TP freq: 12224
Diseqc : Port 2
None
none
For 119W
Only the Diseqc: is in Port 1.

Re: New and confused
try this:
how to effectively set up and align your dish
1. make sure the pole is plumb and mount the dish onto it.
2. turn your receiver off with the switch on back.
3. if you need a diseqc switch run the cable ( rg6 if possible ) to the proper outlet on it.
4. run one short length of cable from each dish you plan to use to the proper port on the
switch(be sure you have the ports set right in your antenna setup).
5. once your connections are tight turn on the receiver again.
6. select the sat you want to get and go to antenna settings.
7. making sure the sat you want to get is in the top right corner start moving the dish
slowly in the general direction of the signal until you see the quality bar move.
8. if all your lnb's are on one dish you should be tuning the middle one first. to get the others
select the next sat in antenna settings and skew the dish until that one comes in.
9. repeat step 8 until you have signal on all sats.
10. to watch one dish at a time select it in the menu, to watch all the channels select all sats.

Re: New and confused
Poster stated that he has a Dishpro LNB. I think the Dishpro normally has a built in switch and he wont need to user a external switch.

Re: New and confused
Forgot the mention that he will also have to select the Dishpro setting in the setup screen on the STB. Dishpro Twin should have two ports that have both 110 and 119 and will support two stbs.

Re: New and confused
Hello & Welcome to Aba!!!!! You should be able to dial it in just by skewing the dish.
