Missing PPVs on 110 Degrees
My Friend on the Delaware Shore has been unable to download or view PPVs on Sat 110. Has great signal with dish 500 and gets ch509, which is on 119. He brings his receiver to my place in NY and can download and view them. I bring my receiver to his place and can't view the Sat 110 PPVs even with channels already loaded in. We've changed everything with no success. Is there something about the Delaware Shore that could cause this? Thanks

Re: Missing PPVs on 110 Degrees
If you have different dish's the antenna settings mainly on lnb type and ports might need to be adjusted from one location to the other.

Re: Missing PPVs on 110 Degrees
Thanks for quick responses. I'm aware of N3 issues. This was pre-N3. We've tried all lnb settings. We get a great signal for 110 but just never got those PPVs. All other 110 channels came in great. I thought it just might be something in that area.

Re: Missing PPVs on 110 Degrees
It should be fine anywhere in the States. For 110 what S (lnb to receiver connection) and Q (signal strength) readings?

Re: Missing PPVs on 110 Degrees
The s & q are 74 & 100. Higher than when we bring the same receiver to in NY. In NY, we can download and receive All PPVs on 110. (Pre N3)

Re: Missing PPVs on 110 Degrees
With those readings you shouldn't have any issues, you've got me stumped, sorry.

Re: Missing PPVs on 110 Degrees
Thanks anyway, I've been at it for a few years and I'm stumped. That's why I was hoping it was the area!

Re: Missing PPVs on 110 Degrees
PPV's aren't spot beamed so that's why I say the area shouldn't affect things. This is a good one.

Re: Missing PPVs on 110 Degrees
He could be using a DiSEqC while you could be using an SW21 or vice-versa. Do manual configuration in that respect taking this into consideration. Be sure to disable DiSEqC if you have SW21 or vice versa if you don't. You could see a quality reading sometimes even if your settings are not right. You did not mention a make and model... Also rescanning won't hurt, sometimes there are differences in frequency and polarity settings between standard LNBs and Dish 500 LNBs. Good luck.

Re: Missing PPVs on 110 Degrees
you are having the same problem i had. my problem i was pointing to 119 only my box displayed i had good signal and quality on both 119 and 110 but in reality i was pointing to 119 only i figured this out by disconnecting 119 and leaving 110 connected then this proved to me that i was not pointing to both sats. so i suggest you disconnect 119 leave 110 connected untill you get a good signal then do connect 119 and see what you get. i hope you understood my sloppy explanation

That's only assuming you have a Dish 500 or a dual dish along with a built-in SW21 switch (be careful with these) or an external one. Hope it works.

Re: Missing PPVs on 110 Degrees
That sounds like a possibility. The problem is we still pick up other 110 channels. We'll give that a try asap. Thanks Jmsjr
