n3 fix?
Upon reading the various posts and new equipment for some of the mainstream machines i.e. (dongles, ihubs, cnx is100) it would lead one to believe that a cardless fix without a IKS base is not in the cards. Hoping I am wrong because no one wants their address to be traced but if a few more of the maintream companies turn to a certain method of IKS then they are signalling the end user that this is the direction to go. In this case free tv will unfortunatley have strings attached. My opinion only.

Re: n3 fix?
no body is saying there will not be a cardless standalone fix they are just coming up with something to keep people going until that conclusion is reached or disproved

Re: n3 fix?
You are so true with that comment. Until all goes black and something is announced, IKS, Ihub, and Khub seem to be the future of TV as we know it...

Re: n3 fix?
Some are of the opinion that a cardless fix (stand-alone file) isn't going to happen for quite some time, that's why people are making other plans for themselves equipment wise.
iHub and dongles will become more popular in many people's opinion moving forward.

Re: n3 fix?
I really think it is the easy way out for some new users just in it for the FREE TV and not so much the testing side of things. Part of the fun of this hobby is testing and trying new things people are just getting lazy. Don't get me wrong I use an internet connected receiver. But I also spend my testing trying new things. People will walk away when they are not getting free tv (ppv xxx hbo skinaMax and so on) But if you can plug it in and it works then what the heck. Plug and play hummmmm

Re: n3 fix?
It will take a great hacker to get the info the coders need to write their bins.

Re: n3 fix?
It's not about hacking it's more of an art or a skill cat and mouse good guys bad guys stuff. When you hit the code just right and you nail it it's a great feeling. A major high.

Express unit makes it sounds like a bigger and better model might also be in the works. That will not be cheap with dual tuner...

Re: n3 fix?
The express unit sounds great, but it also sound expensive. I agree Surrealone this is a hobby. Its all about the testing.
