Plus keep seeing Nag3 and while I know it's talking about Charlie stations out it throws me...also iHub??? Sorry for the perhaps dumb questions but how else will I know if don't ask...thanks to all that do help.

Re: N3, iHubs and other stuff:) ...
Many of the channels are moving over to a different protection scheme.
Some have opted to buy receivers that tie into IKS features, via iHubs and the like to lessen the effects of the above.
Hope that helps you ... basically, it really depends what units your friend is running.

Re: N3, iHubs and other stuff:) ...
lot of channels changed over to nag3
nag3 is a new more advance encryption method to scramble channels
ihub is a dongle specific for sv receivers that hook to the internet for iks
iks is iternet key sharing
tell friends to wait it out or invest in an iks supported device

Re: N3, iHubs and other stuff:) ...
Just to add on to what've been said already. The only solution right now is to buy IKS-enabled receivers or iHub (ethernet adapters) for available brands (Sonicview, CNX, KHUB etc). You won't get all the channels back (no PPV), but you'll get a lot of them

Is there a risk of becoming traceable if you iHub to the internet? I 'm curious AND cautious (lol).

Re: N3, iHubs and other stuff:) ...
Anything that is hooked to the internet is traceable. I don't think the providers will seek out100's of thousands that are using internet connection to a server. Some say that the servers protect your IP with there security. I believe this to be partially true. If they seize the actual server, then we are all up s#@t creek without a paddle...just my 2 1/2 cents worth...

Re: N3, iHubs and other stuff:) ...
Thank you for the explanation. Can you send me a e-mail notice whenever or if ever a solution to N3 becomes available? It would be greatly appreciated. Although I try to keep abreast of current goings-on, it makes me impatient to do so day in and day out and I don't want to piss off the mods by asking if we're there yet. Again, Thank You for your patience with me. You guys are very good at what you do and I for one appreciate it. 'nuff said.
