Red board/Green board
An ad for the SV8000HD in combo pack, tested and installed had a unit with a green board another with a red board. The red board cost more, so maybe better. What is the difference?

Re: Red board/Green board
not positive but i believe the red one is the original A-1 board and the green one is the one that came out after the v2 receiver came out

Re: Red board/Green board
i believe the red boards are famous for overheating. I have had the green board for a little over a year, and have no problems at all.

Re: Red board/Green board
sorry, i meant to say that the green boards had the overheating problem. The green boards also came in two pieces, the 8psk module and subboard. you had to connect the two pieces together before installation. the red boards are only one piece, hence the name A-1 boards.

Re: Red board/Green board
The one piece is the new board that is and improved version over the older two piece board. It installs easier and quicker then the two piece...

Re: Red board/Green board
Thanks Tomcat01 for the info in the PM. It narrows down the info needed if one goes in that direction.
