Dish311 box to unlock? - ABA DSS

I'm probably going to get slammed here for knowing nothing, but I'm trying to get my grandpa some channels for his trailer up in Wisconsin. He was given a dish311 receiver and 2 of the 500 dishes with 3 different guns in them.

What do i have to read to give him any sort of channels with this equipment?

Am I out of luck here, or is there some way to make something happen?

welcome to aba...this forum doesnt talk about whats required to hack sub boxes. now if you got an fta box then all the help you could ever need is right here, all you have to do is ask/read...enjoy your stay

ABA is a FTA forum. If and when you get a FTA receiver let know we can help you. The only thing I can tell you is search the net. You may be able to find something. Just to let you know it may be illegal. Good Luck

If you bought a Sonicview 360 unit (with an iHub add-on) (ask a local FTA vendor) and came back and asked how to get it set up with the dishes and LNB's you have already .. we'd be more than ready to get you pointed in the right direction.

haha yea my bad, i chatted with some other guys that said that even if i wanted to do something like that, it hasn't been cracked yet.

However this really has opened my eyes to the possibilities...

at my own house I have a previously used dish 500 with no gun in it anymore...

What equipment would be the best for the most capabilities that's HD also?
