Now that N3 has taken over is there an alternative?
Is there any other way to receive free cable, other than taking the cap off of the Time Warner Cable line? I know there is a way though the internet but I am moving to the boonies where I cant pick up internet. I guess all satellite would be out of the question now. Any help?

you can go c-band alot of channels there and alot of people want to just get rid of that bud you can get a good one for free as long as you go get it. that is what i did. as for internet there is wildblue, skywayusa both cost about the same 55 month or so, but you cant download alot or they put at dial-up speed so internet tv not a good idea. dont know how far out you are going but you might try to get a dish like a 1000 or primestar and build one of thoes wifi ant. i got one and i get wifi from about 5miles away and have heard of someone getting wifi from up to 50+ worth a shot or you can just read a book.

A 30" Dish pointed to 123 west will get you many totally FREE FTA channels. Never to go down...

Re: Now that N3 has taken over is there an alternative?
You will need a linear LNB to get 123 west, and minimum 30" dish. The LNB you are using now is a circular LNB...

Only STB's that are up are the ones that get updates through a sever VIA internet connection. Three that are doing this are Nfusion, Sonicview, and Kbox...
