Signal Issue...
Was setting up my dad's dishnet sat. He only has one & it's pointing @ 119.
His signal was too weak so I go up on the roof & he in house looking at the antenna setup screen. As I moved the dish he'd tell me the strength.
So, we got signal & quality up to around 85%.
I came down & as I went through scanning the channels the signal + quality dropped too low. So, pissing around I changed the LO freq. to the one higher than 12250, I think it's 13300 or something. Anyways, his signal & quality jumped up to around the 80% mark.
I'm not quite sure of the repercussions of doing this, he managed to pull down almost all of the channels but it is still quirky.
Anyone know wtf is going on?
Thanks

Hi, I know how frustrating it can be, trying to get things set up, especially for someone else. But can you give more information to us? Like what equiptment you are using, settings, etc. It's hard to help when we don't know what kind of receiver you are working with or anything....I'm sure someone can help you figure this out. I'm just leaving for an appt. but will ck back when I return, hopefully it will be resolved by then. Don't give up!!
