New subscription to DN, use existing install / switch / nfusion?
i'm looking to get a new dn install for 3 tv's in my other apartment. i've never had it installed before. i have an old fortec ultra (formerly for globecast channels before the goods went n3) and an nfusion nova at home. there are two satelittes, one pointing at the gc satelitte and the other that is a legacy dn dish pointing at 110 and 119. these two satelittes are fed into a disecq switch and then into my house to the nova.
1. i'd like an install of the dish 1000 dish w/(110,119,129), what 'package' is neccessary for this install? i'm looking at cost savings too, so i dont want to pay too much a month for this package. i read that its just the hd platinum package, but can someone confirm?
2. i've read around that the dish that's installed by dn usually has a dpp44 switch for 3 tv's. if i want to hook up the nfusion hd (or kbox); will i just be looking to change the port settings to diseqc and matching each to each satelitte, or is it a little more complicated than that?
3. how do dn receivers talk to the network.. thru satelitte, phone or network cable? i essentially want to take one receiever from my new install to my home and view dn there. my old satelitte is a legacy dn(not dish pro), what will i need to make this work? if possible, what switch would i need to make this work or will i have to change the complete satelitte to a dp?
4. anyone prefer something else besides nfusion for n3? i feel kinda screwed by nfusion dumping nova, but there are limited options out there. i was thinking kbox or sonicview (the iHub one?). i dont mind iks or whatever else out there.
thanks in advance, i've had comcast (rip off) for a while and thought i'd give a dn subscription a try. if only dn provided internet... arrggh! if this setup + internet per month is going to be too expensive, i might just go u-verse instead...

If you're planning for HD channels this is Good for you.

Yeah you just change the setting and match the ports...But fta receiver can't give all signals in all TP freq..Some times only Vertical polarity has a Signal.or visa-versa.

DN receiver talk thru Satellite Dish with cable wire.. The Phone is for ordering the Movie like PPV.

I'm using nFusion -HD and Kbox and all works Good.

anyone know which dish network packages the dish1000 is installed on? also how i can make my legacy dn dish work with a new dish network stock receiver as mentioned in #3? do i need to replace the disecq with a dpp44 switch? i thought i read that somewhere...
are there any more kbox or nfusion users that chime in on their experiences with the boxes, uptime/ downtime/ freezing/ lag?
thanks!!

The Dish 1000 has three LNBs. 110, 119. 129. The 110 and 119 get all the standard SD channels and the 129 i mainly HD and HD locals.
