Am tryin to combined both cable/sat on one cable running in the house, all is working except i'm only getting 119 singnal from the dp34 setup other two sats 110 and 118 never shows up regardless of whatever port i select on the sonsat receiver menu, so with the diplexer installed on each end of the line i'm only receiving signal of the first sat from port 1 on dp34...is that normal?

i'm not sure the diplexers will carry the current from the receiver to the switch to change it

oh, i do have two original DN receivers connected to the 1 & 2 output and sonysat is connected to the 3 output on dp34...

I thought their was a freq. issue with cable an satbeen a long time since i installed.

each receiver sends a current to the switch to let it now which sat that receiver is trying to watch and i'm just not sure that the diplexers will allow that current to pass through

i could be wrong though

Does this happen on the DN IRDs also or just the Sonysat?

well the two diplexer is only on the line where sonysat is connected and others are working fine bcuz its directly connected...

As far as I am aware, I think you need only One Diplexor connected on the line. One from the Satellite Switch and the other from the Antenna and the out put directly to the Receiver.

Why have you connected two Diplexors? They will counter one another.

You always need 2 Diplexers------One to feed the 2 signals into on one end ------the 2nd diplexer to seperate the signal on the other end.

Thanks setwire for the correction.

I have never used one and as such just presumed how it worked.

That was probably the reason a friend of mine used one Diplexor and failed to get his system working. I should advise him accordingly.
