Autoroll function and fixes
The autoroll function automatically inputs the latest DN and Bev keys into your receiver whenever they change....its a function that is added to all bins, but your receiver needs U to tell it to accept this feature, by doing a few specific simple steps.. ......this rolling and inputting of new keys process may take up to 1 hour and many will see "waiting for picture message"...BE Patient!.....
Ocassionally DN and Bev will "morph" keys when changing the akeys...by this "morphing", DN and Bev fake like they are sending new fake keys, which your receiver will sometimes not understand and will try to change to these non existent "fake" keys and keep continoulsy for hours keep rolling..
To remedy this continous autoroll problem, if U KNOW U have the correct keys (double/triple check), then U must shut OFF the Autorolls...leave keycode On...manually input the latest keys...and then reset the receiver by back switch (turn OFF for 3-4 minutes, then back ON)...if U do NOT have a BACK switch, then UNPLUG receiver for a of couple minutes..

I have the keys but i need to find out a way to put the autoroll options to work so that my receiver automaticly picks up the new key codes.Please reply with an answer.

In the installation menu there should be options, dish settings, etc. Poke around in there for autoroll and make sure that the setting is turned to on.

At the top of page you will see a box with the name ariza in it, click on the down arrow and select your brand STB, then hit GO. You can then load the files you need. First, I see you are a newbie, you will need to upgrade your membership to VIP to have access to our download section. It is a very small fee to help keep the site running and well worth the fee. Guys, In the autoroll option, wich one do I have to turn off?? The Keycode, The Dishnet Autoroll, The Bev Autoroll or the Globecast autoroll?? And what is the purpose of this???

Leave key code ON, turn off the network that you are not going to watch, this is where the function for auto roll is turned on to get keys...

no auto roll for pansat 2500, you will have to keep entering keys manually or buy a new STB that you can download a new bin for...

Ok JC, that means that I have to turn off BEV and Globecast, and leave ON Keycode and Dishnetwork (this is the one that I watch), am I right???
What is the purpose of this ????
Thanks for your help and I am sorry if my questions look too simples, but I am really a newbie.
By the way, my receiver is a FLU, the process of turning off the autoroll is the same for any receiver ???

Turning auto roll off is generally the same for most STB's, you are correct in the key code and Di$h...

Hi Yank.
I think you want to have ALL autoroll options turned to ON. If however, this is causing problems (autorolling for more than an hour) then follow Grasshopper's instructions above.

Hey KKCA and JC: Thanks guys for your help.
I have another question: I have a FLU (with no new bin yet), why did you tell me that I have to keep the Dishnet ON in the autoroll option?? Isn't this the reason why I lost my signal frequently when DN send the "fakes" keys??
Should I just keep the "Keycode" option ON and the other 3 (Dishnet,Bev and Globecast) OFF in order to avoid the "fakes" keys from DN??
please advise.
