Re: satellites that work with small 18"20" dish

After reading thru a lot of information, the channels on these birds are all encrypted, so I gather the receivers must be flashed from time to time, and thus the need to get download updates?

I have a DTV triple so I can point to 82W, and 91W?

no.they are located to far apart to hit them with one dish.

yes.some unbolt the dish 500 and turn the dish and rebolt it.the dish 500's are slightly taller than they are wide.turning them makes them wider, with fairly decent quality results.-not really recommended though.rain fade will knock out your sig fairly easy i would guess anyway.iv not tried it to know myself.its best to just hang another dish.

info provided is for fta channels/educational use only.
for other info,please start a new thread.thanks.
the dtv triple head phase 3 dish is not very good with fta receivers.its best to ditch the lnb and rig up your own holders/lnbs with fta receivers.
