dave is not working for me - ABA DSS

I have 2 dishes-1 set for bev-1 for charlie- both have single lnb's bev comes in fine. charlie wont come in at all.have a diseqc 1.0 4x1 switch installed. using a cnx-v1 receiver. When i got my pansat up tonight i hooked up charlie cable to it and lo and behold i get tv. could someone tell me if i might have some settings wrong.chechedswitch and that is good. not sure where to go from there.tried just charlie hooked to cnx but got nothing.thanks for time and any ideas

Dave don't work for anybody in the FTA world.
Maybe you were refering to Charlie? DN 110 & 119?
BEV 82 & 91.
Obviously the dish is pulling the signal you want...so it is a matter of the other unit getting the correct settings on it.
I would first be sure I have a good signal for the selected bird.
Then I would try some different settings until it comes in.
It could be a simple matter of the keys not updated.
Check all these things & get back to us.

IN your antenna set up when you go in the DiSEqC label them #1 and #2 depending on how you have them screwed into the switch. if you have bev in 1 put the diseqc 1 and dn 2 if you have dn screwed into 2 on the switch or vice versa . then it should work fine.

In the CNX also check the LNB type. It should be set to standard if you are using a DAVE dish...Check what type of dish you have. If it is a DP you need OCS...

sorry. it was charlie i was referring to.i have the atest bin for cnx-v1. I am using a dave dish. signal and quality is about 90% I can get charlie on my pansat on a different tv so o know its working. it has to be a simple thing that i screwed up diseq is hooked right and set proper

I ws told i should not have to put in new keys with a cnx-v1.I do have good signal and quality and it is charlie not dave( me bad) diseqc switch is hooked up right.Charlie is working on my pansat on another tv

In your ant settings, you didn't accidently turn the LNB OFF did you, if that is correct, check and make sure you have your coax put on the right input port on your STB. Sometimes when members hook them back up after loading new firmware from there PC, they get the coax hooked back on wrong input port. Let us know...

im learning checked all that before i posted lol. im using a dave dish.what kind of lnb is that? that is the only thing i can think of that i havent changed

Well that might be your problem...seems to me (and I might be wrong) Dave LNBs look different & only catch linear signals not circular like Legacy & DP. (Daves uses birds like 101 & 105)
So for testing...try a Legacy or DP LNB to see if that works. (Just hook unit to different dish if you have one)
The only other thing might be the keys are not correct or working for some reason...because if you have a good signal, then most often the keys are the only trouble.
A good way to test this is see if you can get the home channel 100, 101 or PPV preview 103...if so, it is only key problem. (also music always works on 925, 926, 917) if signal is good.

actually dtv dishes use legacy lnbs.tho they look a bit different,they are circular legacy lnbs and work fine also.
i use 2 of them myself for 82/91 combo.
