First of all I have two different dishes, one from DAVE and the other from CHARLIE.
DAVE is already connected (but not in use) and pointed to what I think is 119. I don't know how to tell if it is a single or dual LNB. I no longer use this one because I went HD w/ DAVE.
CHARLIE was giving to me and is sitting in the garage. The words DN 500 is printed on the dish itself and on the LNB part, one side reads 110 & the other side reads 119 while the words dish pro is at the end. I think this means it's a dual LNB correct?
I guess the question would be which one do I use or can I use both together and send to 1 or 2 FTA boxes. If I can use both together, then what does the setup look like.
I was trying to learn a little about the Lyngsat & saw at least 5 different birds that I'd like the pickup.
Please walk me through the direction I should be going though step by step.
I don't yet have the receiver but I Have narrowed it down to the CW 600s Premium, VS Ultra or SV-4000, or even the VS Pro due to the PVR capability.

ok,here is what i would do with those dishes.
put your dish 500 up with its dish pro TWIN lnb.
its true to call it a dual, because it has 2 outputs.BUT more importantly its also a twin lnb.meaning it has 2 eyes.really 2 lnbs in one.
while a dual lnb is just a single eye with 2 outputs.
so anyway,point that at 119/110
point your dtv 18" dish @ 91w
latter if you wanted, you could do a "poor mans" dish with it.simply strap on another lnb like it right to 91's lnb and catch 82 also.
bring a line out from each port of the twin into a 4x1 diseqc ports 1 and 2
it has a built in diseqc, but you need to combine the other lnb and or one for 82 latter to fill the diseqc.
so you can simply "stack" the diseqc switches in this manner.
then bring 91 to port 3 and latter 82's into port 4 (or put up another dish for something else and bring that to port 4.
