Question about strenght and quality
Hello every one. I'd like to watch a game today that is on the far end of my local spot beam. I can get the channel but my quality is really bad for that channel. Right now on my att. setting for that sat. I'm at 85 for both S and Q.
My question is. If I adjust my dish to pick up more strenght on that sat, will that increase my quality also for that local channel, or would I be just wasting my time.
Thanks in advance

Re: Question about strenght and quality
You'll Be Fine.. I Have S-74 Q-72 As We Speak And I'm Ok..
The Nfl Games Will Be On Numerous Channels Today So Just Take A Look Around The Channels And Find It On Another Channel If You Want.

Re: Question about strenght and quality
Where I live the Det. locals are the farest away in my spot beams. I can get every other local channels, but watching these channels from Det. is like watching a channel in a bad rain storm. The channel keeps going in and out. This is the only channels I'm going to be able to watch the game on, so If I go on my roof and tweek it in better, will that help. I don't want to be wasting my time if not, and will just deal with it if I have to. By the way I'm only on 119 and 110 sats

Re: Question about strenght and quality
Tweaking your dish in your situation may help, mark where your dish is now with a black perm felt pin. This way if it gets away from you, you can come back to your original reference point. Move just a little, get some help so you don't have to run up and down the ladder...

Re: Question about strenght and quality
Sure go up and tweak all you want but like I said there is going to all kinds of games on both those sats today and I'll almost positive you'll find that game on another channel somewhere else..

Re: Question about strenght and quality
Thanks Jc and rick.
Rick I looked all around, and that's my only option. Where I live and in my spot beamed area, it's being dominated by the Bears game on almost every local channel at 3pm

Re: Question about strenght and quality
I never did try to mess with my dish. I got through the first half ok, but now that the afternoon is almost over, I drop in signal strenth on some tps. I do have one question. I was messing around with my att. settings and found that if I changed my ldn freq to 11200 I get great S and Q for that tp. When I go to the channels now for that sat. it says auto roll processing. Is there anyway to correct this or do I have to use 11250 feq. by the wat I have a dish 500

you have to use 11250 for 110/119/82/91.
