Need Help DN Box/Fta working together?
Ive finally got VS PRO up/running(Thanks Again!)-Im a Comcast HD cable subscriber-but Im going to switch to Dish Hd package(subscribe). My question is what is the best way to have both the subscribed Dish Net box & FTA receiver working on the same TV? How can I spilt the (1) lnb line in so both boxes will work at the same time(or 1 box on/other will have off signal)? OR What is the best way to tell the installer?(Im confused on how DN will install because of their dual tuner setup(example--4 rooms they give you two receivers)...Any help would be great.. Did I insult everybody? No responses...Im a paid member -give me any suggestions.....

Re: Need Help DN Box/Fta working together?
Ok-Here is what DN installed Dish 1000.2 Tech Portal : (choose receiver model) : Equipment : DISH 1000 I got 1 hd-dvr VIP 722 DISH Network -- Dish HD (55hrs recording HD-350 hrs standard def-recording-newest model)---1 receiver model 622 HD/or standard receiver---Both are Dual tuner models and I opted for single mode on HD-DVR -So total 3 room system..................NOW onto my VS PRO-I hooked up SAT IN from one receiver and it works fine(BIG THANKS AGAIN)--Going back to my original post -How/What type of spilter swich can I use to have both SAT INs connected to both receivers at the same time? As it is now(when I tried a 2way spilter/combiner -only one box worked when the other was unpluged) Am I stuck reconnected everytime I want to switch boxes? Thanks in advance...Ps I have to admit for free install/3rooms the HD picture and receivers are 100% better than Comcast. timehttp://www.dishnetwork.com/content/our_products/dish_hd/receivers/index.shtml

Re: Need Help DN Box/Fta working together?
you could use a Coax A/B switch,,its just like a spliter but with a push button,,,you wont have to unplug the cable,,,you could even get a wireless one saves you the time of pushing the button

Re: Need Help DN Box/Fta working together?
You could run another cable line to the dish the LNB's,then connect that cable to your VS Fta ..you could have DN pluged into ANT A & VS pluged unto ANT B or a video input
