New to programming and Nervous! : ) - ABA DSS

Hello. We purchased 3 receivers in July (ViewSat 2000 Ultra, Neusat SP6000, and SatPro DSR-500S) from an dealer/installer 75 miles from me. Have had to take receivers back to dealer several times to get new BINs, free of charge. I recently learned how to program new Keys. Dealer indicated by my doing this 'temporary fix', it would not only void the warranty, but also cause viruses. I questioned him, and now believe he's just trying to keep me coming back for his support, and eventually will start charging me to install new BINs.
I have been browsing around this site for a week or so; and have learned so much. Just this week I have purchased a USB to 9-pin serial cable to attempt to download BINs myself. After reading a post here about the 9/11 bad BINs that kill the Ultra, now I'm hesitant!
First, is it possible to damage (virus) receivers by keying in bad/invalid Keys in Nagra, Dish 010100? Second, how can I tell if I have genuine receivers (no clones)? And third, do you have new BINs for all 3 of my receivers?

they have the bins for all your receivers in the download section.All files are tested and are safe on this site.as for clones i think you need to ask someone like grasshopper or ricksbeach for help there.this site is great,they will help all they can an more.welcome to aba.Hope your stay is as pleasant as mine has been

I just ordered a Captain 7100 FTA receiver.I am new to this. I have to get the Dish now. They say the Dish 500 is the one to get. Is their anything I should be on the lookout for before setting things up. Is this site good for downloads.
