Always use the first available port.
Your pc will automatically default to #1...and so on.
However, if having problems...just try another port to test.

Re: need help please
if you have 2 then one is com 1 and the other is com 2. plug it into com 1 and the loader usually finds the right com and its usually 1. then load your bin.

Re: need help please
Connect to A, use Com port 1.... If that don't work you may have to go into the computer's device manager and check to see if the com port has any conflicts...
Win XP: Control Panel, system, hardware, device manager, Ports (Com & LPT)
Close to the same steps for Win 98 and ME.... I think it's Control Panel, System, Device Manager...etc...

I'm talking about the 9 pin.
But you know there are 2 different types of Serial Data Cables (9 pin)...1 is Null & the other is Straight...but they look the same.
It won't work if you use the wrong one.
I don't test CW so I'm not sure which one is correct for you...someone else will know.

Re: need help please
i see you got this loaded ok as per your other thread.
just wanted to mention for other readers here, you must put this unit in boot mode or standby mode before the loader will work.
can read how to in the guides iin the sticky threads in cw 600s receiver help section.
